Hamas stores strategic military assets at genuine medical facilities specifically because they're counting on an international reaction when Israel attempts to oppose them.
As expected, the UN demands that hospitals be off-limits to Israel's attacks. Why is it silent about Hamas's militarization of these buildings?
- subscribed 1y agoWhy do you hand-pick one Hamas war crime (using civilians as live shields) to discount all the documented monstrosities committed by the military (and genocidal intent, as aired multiple times by Israeli politicians)? How does that even work? So you're saying carpet bombing of civilian infrastructure (especially houses), targeted attacks on hospitals, civilian and medical cars, Israeli-designated refugee camps, iterally murdering babies, targeting every single journalist and medic (cue infamous video of mass execution), hunting children with sniper rifles, killing hundreds of people queuing for aid (flour "fortified" with fentanyl), and last but not least inflicting famine on tge whole country...... all that is just fine because Hamas allegedly uses medical facilities? You're truly a monster.

(Hospitals, adolescent combatants, medic uniforms, journalistic ID) So whenever Israel wins a tactical victory, they lose in the media. Hamas' play is to build public sentiments against Israel into international sanctions. But the pattern I'm seeing in the events you list is par for the course in a war: Israel is targeting Hamas' infrastructure, supply chains, transportation, facilities, and combatants (even Hamas-coerced adolescent combatants.) The optics are terrible, but the pattern is tactical, not genocidal. Also, the accusations of genocidal political speech have been refuted in detail [0]. TL;DR: BBC/NPR misquoted/elided two politicians (their initial report really was genocidal sounding, it just wasn't what the politicians said) and Netanyahu quoted a different verse in hebrew than people initially accused him of quoting.
