Why Is California So Chilly This Summer?
- Stratoscope 1y ago> It’s been so cold in San Francisco, painters on the Golden Gate Bridge had to break out heaters. https://archive.is/BPQPs https://archive.is/BPQPs
- onecommentman 1y agoWondered why no one cited the famous Mark Twain quote on San Francisco summers and found this recent news article doubting its validity https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/chilly-san-francisco-summer-non-mark-twain-quote/3927295/ https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/chilly-san-francisco-s...
- dlcarrier 1y agoIt's a statement that's true for many, though. Meanwhile, I once spent half a day in San Francisco in February, and was comfortable in shorts in a T-shirt, and ended up with a sun burn. It truly is a backwards place.
- sizzzzlerz 1y agoI live in the San Jose end of the bay. We haven't had temps above mid-80s all this summer. Typically, July has at least one week of 100+ temperatures. This summer, its been mostly 70s and low 80s. I'm not complaining and we still have to get through August and September so we'll see. It is unique however. I've been living here since '78 and it is definitely the coolest summer in that time. '
