I find the real problem is not the doctors, but the hospitals. For a simple outpatient procedure, the fee from the hospital dwarfs that of the anesthesiologist and surgeon. For an inpatient stay, the hospital charges thousands of dollars per night for a room! Makes the Ritz Carlton look cheap!
