TSA might like facial recognition but passengers not so much
- SilverElfin 1y agoEveryone should opt out every single time they encounter facial recognition. Unfortunately I see almost everyone blindly agreeing to ANYTHING they’re asked at an airport
- JSR_FDED 1y agoI’m sympathetic to that viewpoint, but there are times that I think it’s appropriate. For me an airport is one of those times. I believe it’s one of the things that makes me safer.
- laweijfmvo 1y agoeventually they’ll (silently) remove the notice about the photo being immediately deleted after verification. then they’ll silently remove the notice about opting out.
- JSR_FDED 1y agoCoincidentally writing this from the airport (ORD). Like it or not, the reality is that there’s not enough personnel to accommodate opt-out passengers.
