People are surprised because a computer can press a button?

- layer8 1y agoPeople are intrigued that AI who perfectly know that they are a “bot” seem to have no qualms to knowingly mislead about that by pressing an “I’m not a bot” button.
- torium 1y agoAI doesn't "know" anything. It produces all kinds of things: truths, lies, and nonsense. Pressing a button labeled "I'm not a bot" is the same.
- layer8 1y agoLLMs have "knowledge" and guardrails by their system prompts. The interesting thing is that the agentic AIs in question don't seem to have guardrails that would deter them from acting like that.
