It was a period of high taxation on the highest incomes, large social welfare programs and by relative terms fairly low income inequality.
Finally productivity gains benefitted the labor class and not just the capital class.
That all halted in the 70s and 80s.
- e40 1y agoThis. And this high taxation and middle class prosperity was the fuel that drove those who paid higher taxes to give us all the system we see today. Trump is not the cause, he’s the result.
