Apple really ought to give each developer a UUID and then instead of exposing my device's UUID, expose the hash of both IDs combined. That would preserve the book keeping value of device UUIDs while preventing correlation of IDs between parties.

They've already deprecated UUID's so I presume the new solution is/will be more secure.
