Why are the predictions of the tsunami experts so poor? What can be done to get higher accuracy?
- Shank 1y agoI don’t think there’s a high false positive rate on these. They do happen pretty rarely, and a false negative is far worse than a false positive. Due to the tsunami wave propagation, it can sometimes take hours for significant waves to reach the coastline.
