- pempem 1y agoBecause when the person who quits their job becomes in some other way disenfranchised or their partner is unable to work for some reason, there is no safety net, no savings and no established career they can find their way back into. Healthcare is tied to a job. Retirement is tied to a job. Social security is a joke. etc. etc. etc.
