I know quite a few programming languages well enough to write production software using them. It didn't take long to learn. The hardest to learn for me was Haskell. Because of how different the thinking behind the language is. But it was great to learn even though I don't use it daily. I highly recommend learning different programming languages. It's a great way to get exposed to different ways of thinking about how software should be developed.
