100% agree with this. I want augmentation not automation. That said, CoPilot in the form of "autocomplete" is kind of that. I have been enjoying the hell out of Claude Code, but I'd feel much better about it if it wasn't a case of "here take this pile of diffs" and had a mode Socratic modality. A tool that works with me instead of for me, because I'm going to have to review everything it does anyways.
