I disagree that what's termed "AI" is more exciting than space exploration. Current "AI" feels a lot like NFTs/blockchain/cryptocurrency, and Windows NT before them. Trump's ending the US space program, but what's more exciting than a planet inhabited entirely by robots? Robots that drive around and take pictures of a planet, the entirety of which people probably will never explore.
