Executive Order – Preventing Woke AI in the Federal Government
- duxup 1y agoIt’s impossible to understand what anyone even means by woke now. Is it just there being a girl in a movie? Is it an outcome someone doesn’t like? Is it just science? Is it … nothing?

- chownie 1y agoNah, there's at least a comparison to be made with a concrete actual thing (the nazi party) -- "woke" in 99.9% of its current usage has no meaning whatsoever beyond a nebulous "this is what they think" type connotation. A nazi person is a supremacist. A woke person... Is what? There's no consistency about what that is at all. I've seen the word woke applied to vegetarian pizza toppings. It literally has no meaning beyond being a snarl word.

- metalman 1y agospeaking as someone, I can say that I am more than a bit fuzzy on exactly what woke is, but somehow feel certain that I will find it anoying, that said I would happily have "woke" stuff just pushed out of the naritive....as long as they also made sure that the government AI could not reference , frenology, and eugenics, mien campf, and or anything else that was not common to 99.9999% of the human population, withh everything else lumped under the basic right to consentualy partisipate in whatever, and the counter right to not have whatever, non consentualy shoved in thier face. tricky to impliment, but worth a try, I think.

- duxup 1y agoNaw his list included a lot of valid science. There was no apparent rhyme or reason to the parts of the list was known. And of course like all such claims nobody to actually answer for why something was on the list. Just a lot of fearmongering that works on people.

- Cheyana 1y agoWell, it’s been gearing up for a while but when the official Whitehouse account posts AI pictures of the president as the new pope and Superman, a deepfake of a former president getting arrested, and now this nonsense, I’d say it’s official at this point.
