What's the strategic reason for having a supersonic aircraft, when we have ICBMs?
I thought the reason the SR-71 was cancelled/mothballed was because the missiles got good enough for it to be totally ineffective.
- KyleBerezin 1y agoThis isn't really meant to be a military demonstrator. It is more like a proof of concept for Concord 2.0. A lot of what NASA does is help progress the field of aerospace and provide consultation to the industry.
