Having passed a toddler a steak knife, it's fine. There are even practice knifes for this purpose. (An infants hands are too small to hold a steak knife)

- Nevermark 1y ago> Having passed a toddler a steak knife, it's fine. That time. With that child. I don't think "a steak knife per toddler" is a scalable value proposition.
- vorpalhex 1y agoI disagree. Most children (including toddlers) can be taught quickly to safely handle even "scary knives" and controlled exposure to real tools with real consequences is actually high value. You can also give infants who are ready for food meat and other real foods, just keep in mind the lack of teeth.
