It's pretty normal these days to rely on GCC varargs. Among my people (the unix tribe), few care if Microsoft will ever support C99 or anything else for that matter.
You can use a macro to swap between varargs/stdarg.h if you want to be able to use the LLVM toolchain in addition to gcc.
MSVC++ can go suck fruit wax.
