Firefox Money: Investigating the Finances of Mozilla
- theandrewbailey 1y ago(2022)
- CommenterPerson 1y agoThe post says August 2023. Still way worth a read. Seems like an outright shady organization and paid for by g**gle. Changed to DuckDuckGo two years ago happy with it so far.
- tokai 1y ago"This article was originally published in December of 2022, exclusively for subscribers to The Lunduke Journal. It is being re-published now"
- snvzz 1y agoParticularly relevant now, considering recent Mozilla's events.

- mos87 1y agoTriggers most of the wrong people. You know, those that aren't even mentioned by someone him in this case but are still offended like they're being tortured. THat sort.
- snvzz 1y agoBest to form your own opinion. e.g. What are the facts, and who is trying to suppress them / why.
- mos87 1y agowhy do you do this
- snvzz 1y agoInteresting. That's a lot of money, and quite dubious use. IANAL, but I can't help but wonder if the use of blatant lies to gather donations might constitute fraud.
- anotherhue 1y agoI often raise this point, but it bears repeating. > Interesting to note that the Mozilla CEO earned nearly as much ($5.6 M) as Mozilla received in donations ($7 M). Baker did a CHM oral history some time ago, some of it is interesting, most of it is like deposing a lawyer. https://youtu.be/EqW2rg0boKk?feature=shared https://youtu.be/EqW2rg0boKk?feature=shared
- chihwei 1y agoI hope Mozilla can invest more in open source technology rather than political stuff.
