- slavik81 1y agoThe author of V for Vendetta, Watchmen, 300, and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?
- anadem 1y agoWell I (as a widely-read 81 year old bookworm lol) have never heard of him
- ThrowawayTestr 1y agoWell now's your chance to familiarize yourself with the pop culture of 20 years ago. There's this other great book about UK authoritarianism, it's called 1984 by this little known author George Orwell.
- aydyn 1y agoYes lmao. You think those are literary classics in the same vein as Shakespeare or something?
- slavik81 1y agoNo, but the films made a billion dollars in box office revenues. I know of Alan Moore's V for Vandetta because of the blockbuster movie.
- aydyn 1y agoIve seen one of those movies and didnt know any of them were from books. You realize capeshit is for children and being overly inured to the silver screen is for basement dwellers, right? Right...?
- ThrowawayTestr 1y agoYou're not cool because you don't watch popular things
- amatecha 1y agoOkay, just to answer the damned question because apparently no one else felt like doing the decent thing and just saying it: the "Moore" mentioned is Alan Moore. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Moore https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Moore
- arethuza 1y agoI did initially wonder if the reference was to Thomas Moore!
