- incrudible 1y agoThe magic beans worked in the sense that they grew a massive stalk, but as the butcher saw a bargain in trading them for a cow, they were not that precious. One must also consider the opportunity cost of stealing from a giant (with an appetite for Englishmen) in this profit calculation.
