- grues-dinner 1y agoFrom the paper: > The kinematic properties of interstellar interlopers are expected to preserve for the most part the kinematic signatures of their host stars. That's quite interesting - a cosmic ShotSpotter of sorts. I hadn't considered that the object's track would be roughly still pointing at the star system whence it came, but I suppose in interstellar space, things would move in pretty straight lines.
