Is there any real challenge to making your own bluetooth speaker from commodity parts? I'm sure a FOSS bluetooth software stack exists. Not sure what kinds of hardware it can run. SDR if necessary I guess. 229.99 euro is in lol territory I'm afraid. The bluetooth speaker I currently use was around 5 usd.
- BizarroLand 1y agoPretty much anyone with basic technical abilities can make something with commodity hardware, but making one that is good and unique is a tall order, especially if you include the requirements of making it user serviceable.
