I truly enjoy youtube. My approach is Mac, Firefox private browsing, Ublock Origin, Cookie Autodelete, and never sign in to any Google account in same browser. Start page is blank, no ads, no complaining about blocker, I see only what I search for, and auto content is related to purely associative relevance to my viewing. Very pleasant with no doom hazard. I guess that Google will eventually wreck this but by living as anonymously as possible, there's no business incentive to commandeer nobody's attention.
