What is the point in arguing against enthusiasts? Are you trying to spoil their fun? I think that's inappropriate behavior. Especially when you have to request advice from internet strangers on how to be a more effective contrarian and spoilsport.
I don't like smart phones, professional sports, pick up trucks, anime, or games with pixel art. Please advice on how I can argue against people who are enthusiastic about that kind of stuff.

Furthermore, your comparisons are flawed because they are innocently chosen. But shouldn't nefarious capitalists, ruthless politicians, and uncritical managers also be allowed to have fun - at the expense of others?
