- supertrope 1y agoTraditionally DVDs wear out after about 25 loans as patrons scratch them or break down them. Books fare better. E-Book licenses are set up to run out after a certain number of loans. The limit is set way too low. And there's no escape hatch to publishers price gouging through libraries buying through retail channels.
