The lack of maturity also needs to be stacked up against the stake youth has in the future. Why should a 90-year old with little stake in the future be allowed to vote while young people who will live for another 70 years be at the mercy of that 90-year old's voting? I think there is a good argument to be made that young people are the biggest stakeholders in our future, and should have a say.
