- bitwize 1y agoBy not implementing and enforcing a code of conduct, you are inviting trolls to do as they please in your community. That is why all grown-up open source projects have one.
- anonfordays 1y agoNo one needed a code of conduct to police and enforce rules in a community. They didn't exist until 15 minutes ago and communities were fine without them. >That is why all grown-up open source projects have one. All ones that bandwagoned and let leftist entryists take over you mean. Grown-ups don't need a CoC to stop trolls with anime character profile pics from using the platform to defend pedophiles. They simply get a ban and life moves on. You can have rules without a code of conduct.
- felipec 1y agoWrong. You don't need a CoC to do moderation. All CoC's are ever used for is to silence people the moderators don't like.

Sounds about right. I guess the Lunduke and XLibre community proudly branding preteen children as "pedophiles" after thorough "investigations" into said children is an important part of being "pedo-free"? Just as the other mail is an important part of being free of antisemitism?
