A reminder that Donald Trump attempted to overthrow the US government after losing an election by rallying his supporters to the capital where they broke into an active session of Congress, attacking police officers and chanting that they would hang Mike Pence, his VP. Donald Trump also coordinated to reduce the presence of law enforcement at the capital, proving premeditation. Mike Pence plain-face admitted that he had to refuse to comply with his Secret Service agent, who was attempting to prevent him from overseeing the certification of the election results. And after everything, Donald Trump pardoned these people for this attempted insurrection. He suffered zero reprecussions and now has full control of his party and the government and 4/9 of SCOTUS as lifetime appointments, who have decreed he is effectively immune from prosecution. He is untouchable and we are utterly fucked. The US is a corpse of itself now, we're just waiting for the rot to set in.
