Why don't planes have dimples like golf balls?: R/askscience
- throwawayffffas 1y agoWhat is an airfoil, if not a surface with a very large dimple? Not an aeronautical expert, but the way I understand it, the dimples, function the same way as an airfoil. The difference is the ball rotates, and that's why the dimples are everywhere.
