So what's the status of full self driving airplanes (aka autopilot , or maybe autodriver to avoid the bad connotations)
- yard2010 1y agoIt's a philosophical matter: even when we have self-driving cars boats and aeroplane a human should always make the final decision.
- Miner49er 1y agoIs it really desirable though? Sure, it might eliminate human error, but it also probably eliminate pilots saving planes. I don't think an autopilot would have put US Airways Flight 1549 into the Hudson.
