My Favourite Ways to Avoid Spending Money
- gausswho 1y agoThis is a short but effective list, many of which I do. I admit I don't see much the point of keeping a positive balance on the credit card though. Per the tip for Track & Trace, I used to use Mint, before they got bought by the dogshite company Intuit. Then I used Magnolia for a while. Excellently made, but too expensive for me. But now I'm really happy with my current setup: Actual Budget on a self-hosted container and SimpleFin to synchronize across all my accounts (for $1.50/month). It's wonderful to never have to log into my bank again and have a permanent backed up record of all my transactions regardless of which account it happened on.

They make fewer guarantees but have been completely reliable.
