I wonder if Apple itself offers repasting services via AppleCare. For someone like me, with little experience in handling electronics, it might be better than trying to fiddle with the MacBook’s internals.
- leakycap 1y agoI don't know if it is different with Apple silicon, but I had a 2018 MBP that overheated and the Apple Store replaced the logic board and upper case assembly rather than try any sort of repair of the existing board with heat issues.
- reddalo 1y agoOffering such a service would be an admission by Apple that their products are not God-tier.
