Social platforms are incredible at keeping us engaged, but terrible at making us feel seen.
I realized that most of my online time made me more anxious, not less. So I started experimenting.
What would it look like to strip everything back and build something around presence?
I built a barebones voice app. No profiles, no feeds, no metrics. Just anonymous 1-on-1 voice chats between strangers. You open it, talk to someone, and go back to your life.
Weirdly enough—it worked.
People stayed longer than expected. Some said it felt like therapy. Others said it felt like finally being human again online.
It’s small, imperfect, and still evolving—but it’s the first time I’ve felt good about what I’m building.
Would love to hear:
What tools or platforms actually make you feel more connected—not just entertained?
