- RandomBacon 1y agoI can't find any info on that, where did you hear that? I was there in 2018, so after the Hito family occupied the hotel and were forceably removed in 2011. Apparently the Chile Supreme Court upheld the hotel's ownership of that land.
- IncreasePosts 1y agoHeard it from my MIL, who is from rapa nui and likes to fill me in on all the local happenings. I tried searching and I can't find much online (but I don't speak Spanish), but I do see on the resort site, the about page has an "our family" section about the Hitos: https://nayarahangaroa.com/about/ https://nayarahangaroa.com/about/ Not proof positive but indicative of there not being bad blood anymore there
