Him talking about instilling "values" about how we should build an AI that, if like a child, would grow up to be incredibly powerful, reveals a lot about how he formulates his internal value system and how he relates to the world.
- octopoc 1y agoYeah it reminds me of the Bobiverse’s take on how AI needs to be built: it needs to grow up, rather than waking up fully formed. To me, AGI is achieved when the machine can improve itself and reproduce in a way that allows survival of the fittest and evolution to take place, though I’m sure when those goals are achieved someone will redefine AGI to be something even more unattainable.
