If anything, they're ahead of the curve. Most Apple apps are beginning to follow this behavior: App Store, Calculator, Contacts, Dictionary, DVD Player, FaceTime, Font Book, Game Center, Garage Band, Image Capture, iPhoto, and so on.
- cmelbye 14y agoNotice how most (all?) of those are single window applications.
- buu700 14y agoSo is Gimp, with the release of 2.8 (well, the option's there anyway).
- _1 14y agoBut it's still a document-based application. Those, in general, stay active even if all the documents are closed.
- timdiggerm 14y agoNot in the new Apple way. I believe the idea is that they'll save their state but close.
- agscala 14y agoRight, but does opening more than one window for a single application count? Two chrome windows for instance.
