Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc, on iOS all use Webkit because of the platform rules. The EU forced them to open up in Europe, but you're not really using Firefox on your iPhone.
Just pointing it out as it's not the same as using Firefox on the desktop or Android.
- chuckadams 1y agoIt might be using the Safari engine underneath, but the issues they're describing are the sort of thing that would surface with a bad integration like a corrupted profile. Profile management on FF has always been a bit of a crapshoot. Personally speaking, it hasn't bit me in the last few years, but I've probably jinxed it now 8-/
- throw123xz 1y agoOn iOS, browsers are more a "Safari with a different UI and some extra features" than "Firefox with a different rendering engine". If they use profiles behind the scenes, it won't be the same old profile system we use on desktop.
