A well placed hole with a 1/2 inch drill bit, and 100% glyphosate does wonders to a tree. Make sure the hole is slanted downwards, so the glyphosate stays inside to be transported by the cambium.
- nothercastle 1y agoIf you get caught they will make you replace them and or pay a 10-50k fine.
- meindnoch 1y agoZero chance if you do it right. Another option if you don't want to leave marks on the tree is to pour Tordon (picloram) at the base of the tree.

- humblebeekeeper 1y agoSociopathic post, tbh.
- meindnoch 1y agoKilling a tree in my own land is "sociopathic"? That's a pretty loose interpretation of the word.
- codingdave 1y agoConsidering that you proposed killing a tree in way that specifically is aimed to to get around local regulations while hiding your actions, that does fit the definition of anti-social tendencies, so calling it 'sociopathic' is a bit of a stretch, but not completely off-target.
- humblebeekeeper 1y ago> a pattern of behavior characterized by a disregard for others' rights and feelings, a lack of remorse, and manipulative or deceitful tendencies. You are talking about killing a tree in a deceitful manner designed to subvert local norms, regulations, and the concerns of your neighbors. You aren't the only person your actions affect (and you know this, because you opened your post by saying you should lie about killing the tree.) I think the word fits quite comfortably.
