The AIDS hysteria got so far that in our mind unprotected intercourse was equivalent to shouting heroin. I also remember being told I could get AIDS just by sitting on public toilets and only chlorine could kill the virus. It was probably an expected swing of the pendulum after the boomers had their sexual revolution. But this paranoia in the physical world probably pushed people hard in the digital realm the Internet just opened and we are now dealing with the next problem.
