This is just how some people are. A few years back someone set fire to our land and our home just to see what it would look like on fire. Vast destruction, hundreds of hectares reduced to ash, wildlife displaced, us displaced, thousands of man-hours of firefighter time used, millions of euro of aviation costs for firefighting aircraft, years of rebuilding now behind us, years of restoring the land ahead of us. The individuals concerned faced no consequences, as extradition was refused, and our insurer refused coverage as they don’t cover arson. This is just the way things are. Some people just want to watch the world burn, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
