I don't have a problem with wanting the government to be fiscally responsible. I don't even have a problem with thoroughly auditing exactly what the government is spending money on. I have a problem with the way DOGE went about it. Several problems, in fact. "Move fast and break things" is perhaps a reasonable startup strategy. It's entertaining with rockets. But when what's being broken is not just the government but the rule of law, I am no longer entertained.
