All the communication channels may seem like information overload, but I would welcome it. I really like the part of open email (no more elite side bar conversations between people that don't know as much as they thought they did) The best part is the IRC channel for chat that has a bot to log my status report (optional) and record for posterity and put it on the shared dashboard as encouragement, recognition and engagement. sigh... I need coworkers that know what IRC is..
