Video games need age assurance; k-ID and Microsoft offer good models: WEF
- like_any_other 1y agoThe "privacy-preserving" claim by k-ID seems based on "trust us" - their website loves claiming how privacy-preserving they are, but doesn't like sharing any details on how they preserve privacy - the best I could find was: https://docs.k-id.com/docs/integrating-kid/age-verification/#supported-verification-methods https://docs.k-id.com/docs/integrating-kid/age-verification/...
- antonyh 1y agoThe end result of this will be myself as an adult no longer buying games, as I valid my data privacy and security more than interactive entertainment unless I can self-certify without a third-party service or sharing official documents. I pay by credit card, that should be enough proof of age.
- proc0 1y agoMovies don't need this, books don't need this. This is to make more money at the cost of privacy. It's always framed as if they care. They don't, and that's why it's sinister.

- Am4TIfIsER0ppos 1y agoWait... that WEF? The globalist overlords are saying we must identify ourselves to a 3rd party before we can play a video game just because some parents are so retarded that they give their children unfettered access and a credit card? This is just the narrow end of the wedge to remove privacy.
