Currently on holiday and browsing on a Chuwi MinibookX N150 model. Comes with Windows 11, but I quickly set it up to dual-boot Ubuntu 25.04. There were a couple of tweaks needed to rotate the display properly (except for GRUB which doesn't seem possible) and get the orientation sensor to work, but otherwise I'm very impressed with it.
- enronmusk 1y agoThat appears to cost $352. Wouldn't it be much better to get a used ThinkPad for that amount of money? The ThinkPad would have better build quality and a more powerful processor.
- ndsipa_pomu 1y agoA ThinkPad is a different form factor. The MiniBookX is a 10.5inch lightweight (just under 1kg) machine with a 360 degree hinge (not that I ever use it like that). I've got a recent ThinkPad (running Linux) provided by my work, but it's a bit chunkier and not so good for holidaying.
- enronmusk 1y agoMakes sense, thanks for clarifying!
- leakycap 1y agoI've been searching for something like this to replace the lightweight convenience of my Asus c100p running debian. Thank you for commenting, I was thinking there was nothing this small and light anymore!
