I like to include icons to indicate whether the destination is external or a file (file extension could work for files too)
- cluckindan 1y agoIcons do nothing for screen readers, though. Use aria-describedby or aria-labelledby to add an ”external link” text suffix to the link text. Note that aria-label does not work properly in all cases, e.g. when the browser chrome uses a different language than the site itself.
