As I understand, the really interesting parts of Commodore (the MOS designs) were lost forever when they shut down the first time. As far as anyone knows, the IP from MOS, the designs for all the chips, are just gone forever. Not that it matters that much though, I think the most interesting chips have already been fully reverse engineered
