I saw those TikTok videos where "women in tech" went into an empty office building from Google and Facebook and did absolutely nothing. Can I get a work like that, too, if I tell them I identify as a female? Genuine question.
- self_awareness 1y agoNo. Leftist movements are about who you are, not what are you doing. You're not the right person for these perks, so you can't get the job, and there's nothing you can do to change it.
- johnisgood 1y agoWait, what do you mean? Is it not enough to identify as a female to get such a job offer to fill a FAANG company's quota? Sadly I am light skinned, but it might work for my girlfriend who is a Latina. What do you think?
- self_awareness 1y agoBased on my experience raising such issues with my local HR department, all I received was laughter, even though the HR girl was part of some "DEI council". I suspect that as a white, straight male, I don’t have the privilege of determining how others perceive me; instead, I seem to be someone people want to confront rather than assist.
