We don't like gatekeeping ideas because many people have the same ideas.
- johnnyanmac 1y agoI don't think anyone is gatekeepign ideas. There's plenty of them, they're a dime a dozen. Implementation: yes, that should be protected. People seem to not like that here, though.
- welder 1y agoPatents are gatekeeping ideas. Two people come up with the same idea independently but one gets a patent and keeps the other from using their own idea. Copyright is protecting from copy pasting the implementation of the idea.
