Hopefully this discovery leads to a safer acetaminophen alternative. Overdoses, both accidental and intentional, are relatively common (~80k ER visits in the US annually).
- PaulHoule 1y agoMy doc doesn’t want me to take it because it raises my liver enzymes.
- ortusdux 1y agoIt has plenty of interactions and limitations. I've heard doctors complain that is available OTC. A friend of mine managed to turn back pain into acute liver failure in a matter of weeks. Discovery of a safer alternative would be a big deal!
