- ggm 1y agoThis moment was always out there. Being least cost drove to cloud scale in places which were 5 nines but cheap. In less politically kind days, you wind up with maybe only 4 nines and diversity, but probably you pay more. 5 nines comes when the new entrants bed in. Bert Hubert's piece of a few days ago about costing viable data centers for Europe comes to mind.
