I remember going to the Louvre into the room with a Mona Lisa and being surprised by two things: - How small the actual painting is, I always imagined it to be bigger. - And the sea of heads between the entrance and the panting, there was no way I could get to the front to admire it up close. The rest of the museum though was lovely to walk around in.
